Compton Park is owned and operated by the
Tampa Palms Owners Association for the exclusive use by
Tampa Palms Areas I and II residents. This signature
park of Tampa Palms is located at 16101 Compton Drive
(behind the elementary school).
Compton features a
junior-Olympic size heated pool, a spa, top-notch
tennis and basketball courts, volleyball, playground
equipment, weight room, updated bathroom and kitchen
facilities, picnic areas, two open soccer fields, pond
fishing, a large general purpose room for private
functions, a Resource Center, and many clubs and
classes.
Since Compton is
private, ID cards are required. If you do not have an ID
card, stop by the park and a park attendant will be more
than happy to make one for you. Please bring proof of
residency!
The General
Purpose Room is available to all residents of Tampa
Palms Areas I and II through reservation. Contact
the TPOA office at 977-3337 between 9am and 5pm, Monday
through Friday, to make a reservation.
Tennis courts may be reserved 24 hours in advance for no
more than one 1/2 hour increments. This gives all
residents an opportunity to use them. Contact a park
attendant on duty at 972-0897 for assistance.
The weight room is available for use by residents 18
years and older. We offer the following equipment: Lat
Pull-down, Bench Press, Sit-up Board, Leg Extension
Machine and a Life Cycle.
